Ball Watch Co., Cleveland, Ohio, Ball- Waltham "Official Standard", 16 size, 21 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions, circular damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws and whiplash micrometric regulator in a gold filled, screw back and bezel open face case, the back with engraved American eagle above a shield with stars and stripes and flanking American flags, Arabic numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, blued steel spade hands, serial #B269738, c1920.
CONDITION:
CASE: Case has housed another movement; Small dents, back; Dings and pin pricks; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Inside of case back with gouge from case screw; Engraving with minor wear; Gold filled with minor brassing; Bow replaced; Crown shell worn through. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, light, 1:00, 4:00, 6:00. HANDS: Hour hand replaced; Oxidation. MOVEMENT PLATES: Numerous fine scratches on plate; Fine scratches on winding wheels; Winding wheels with spots of oxide; Regulator assembly with specks of oxide; Upper center wheel jewel fractured; Jewel settings with minor marring. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
